How to configure a gamepad instead of a keyboard

I've bought 3 different USB pads to use in 'Rush Team' but I can't find out how to set them up!

I need to use something other than the keyboard because I get major pains in my hand after using the keyboard for game play after just a few minutes.

Does anyone know how to set these up please?

I am not sure, that it will be worked with online games, but there is a nice video about it. Download Xpadder from Xpadder.com
